I visited Tylney for the first time earlier this month, it having been recommended by some close friends. From the moment I pulled into the driveway and walked into the lobby, I felt like as though I had been enveloped in a big, warm hug. Coming away a weekend with the girls, away from the chaos of family life, it... more

My husband and I had a fabulous weekend at Tylney Hall three weeks ago and would definitely return again. The setting is beautifully countrified with a very large park filled with ponds, trees and wildlife. The hotel staff were plentiful, friendly and helpful and service was good. Dining in is a memorable experience with a beautiful library and lounge, roaring... more

Thank you for your positive feedback - I am delighted you enjoyed your recent stay with us. I take on board your feedback regarding the lighting being insufficent in your bedroom and this is something we will investigate in the bedroom you stayed in. I would also like to highlight that we are proud of the varied history of the...

If you want the perfect English Country Mansion ‘total experience’, stay here. The building is stunning and the setting is wonderful, with distant views, lily-strewn lakes and secluded woodland walks. Or wander though the immaculate Italianate garden, play croquet on the lawn or try afternoon tea (including classic Cream Tea, or the full works complete with 3-tier cake stand), either... more

Thank you for your glowing feedback. I am delighted you enjoy visiting Tylney Hall. I do however take on board your feedback relating to the balance of our menus and would stress that our Chef and his brigade would always be delighted to create any dish for guests desiring something that is not printed on our menus. Thank you once...

Good points - magnificent grounds for walking, immaculate gardens, fountains, absolutely beautiful. Outdoor swimming pool great. Spacious bedrooms, Molten Brown toiletries, good food, concierge. Bad points - bedroom was too hot with no air con (although they did supply a small fan), don't expect more than 4 TV channels if you are planning a night in. The gym was tiny,... more

Whilst I am somewhat suprised, if not shocked by your comparison, we clearly did not meet your expectations of service in our restaurant during your stay for which I apologise. I have discussed your feedback with our restaurant team and have ensured they understand these shortcomings. Thank you once again for your feedback. Kind regards, Mark Ashton

My husband and I have had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful hotel many, many times... and each time we leave we just cannot wait to go back again. You truly feel pampered when you stay here from checking in to checking out the staff bend over backwards to make your stay special. The grounds, gardens and lake are... more

We have just returned from a weekend away at Tylney Hall. The staff were so polite and helpful and this contributes as much to the Hotel's ambience as the impeccably well-kept surrounds. There are many reasons why this should be a 5 star hotel, the staff being the key reason for this. However there are a few reasons why it... more

It was my fathers 80th birthday, so i booked two rooms and a special dinner in the Oak Room. The bedrooms were ok and spacious, overpriced, but tired decor and lots of walking no lifts for us, difficult if your 80 with bad knees. But the real rub was the birthday dinner, contrary to my protestations, we were made to... more

We stayed at Tylney hall for a few nights in march and had a lovely time. The staff were very welcoming and the room (suit 6 or 8) was beautiful. The gardens are beautiful and very nice to walk through. The Oak Room Restaurant has views of the gardens. The food is excellent and it seems to be very popular... more
