Only stayed 1 night before catching boat to Orkney. Teresa & Andy are great hosts. Very spacious room with the added bonus of a small fridge. Also excellent continental breakfast - home baked scotch pancakes & muffins - delicious. Highly recommend.

The Hawthorns was our last stop on the cycle ride from Lands End to John O' Groats and it was a wonderful place to round off the whole experience. we stayed here on the final todays of doing End to End cycle ride, we had a fabulous welcome; we really appreciated little treats that marked the end of our cycling. If we offered B & B this is what we would aspire to. We felt welcome and at home at once. The other reviews say it all but we can add that the evening meal we arranged to have the evening we arrived was a real treat.

Theresa makes every effort to take personal care of her guesrts, going to the trouble of learning (and using) their first names. The whole house is full of details and interesting things to look at, read and see (including an extensive library of books and DVDs). Breakfast was wonderful, home-cooked and individual.

Teresa and her lovely family were so friendly and hospitable. Their home is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming - the attention to detail is superb and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
