Having been let down by other accommodation in the area, myself and a work colleague were very fortunate to get accommodation at the Royal Oak very late at night. “Nice hotel very close to the beach and golf course”

I would definately come back here again. The guest house is located a few mins from the centre of village and is very close to the famous viaducts and the beach and harbour. Nice relaxed atmosphere and very good stay. Nice helpful staff. Lovely breakfast.

When driving along the coast we decided to stay overnight in the first hotel with own restaurant. That was Royal Oak Hotel & Restaurant (apparently also called Amaryllis Guest House). “Lovely Spot to stay”

I love this little town and Amaryllis has given me another reason to come back again. Had some awful damp cold weather during our stay, but this was more than compensated for by the warm welcome we received from Pauline. We asked for a quiet room and Pauline ensured that this was what we got. Nothing was too much trouble.... More

Easy to find and park. Clean rooms, friendly people, very good value for money. Would recommend it to anyone.
