The Fonte de Medici is a lovely place. They have beautiful scenery and beautiful rooms, but the restaurant was not exemplary. It's good enough for breakfast and a quick lunch, but try to go somewhere else for dinner. Also, make sure you have a car, as there isn't really much to do at the hotel except sleep or lounge around... more

Our story really starts in August 2007. We visited Tuscany to not only have a wonderful holiday but also to select a venue for our wedding the following year. We visited many properties in the region from castles to hotels (none quite what we were looking for – we wanted all our guests to be together - but not on... more

Perfect location. Spent there a week with my girlfriend and was outstanding. Within a few miles you can go to some of the best restaurants in Chianti and enjoy the unique experience of a tour of the Badia a Passignano cellars. more

Fonte de Medici is an agriturismo that is part of the Antinori Family estate. The hotel itself is not priced like your agriturismo, and for good reason. Our room was quite large with a full shower and a mini-kitchen. Two bottles of wine were included, along with a nice breakfast, and you get exclusive access to a Tignanello cellars tour... more

We selected this hotel per reviews on Trip Advisor, and were very happy with the accommodations. We stayed in the Vermentino room, which is a big-size apt. and quite spacious (see their website for pictures of room/hotel). It had a small kitchen with fridge and small living room. Definitely a bargain! The room was very clean and comfy. The breakfast... more

My wife and I were here in 2005 for on a wine and food trip through Tuscany. On that trip, we booked the apartment Dolcetto. I can highly recommend it! However, if you are dependent on things like room service, turn down and big fluffy towels replaced after each use, maybe not. Please don't misunderstand; this is a very nice... more

This property beautiful and we would definitely stay here again. We brought our two children ages 10 and 13 and they loved it too. It is a great location for exploring Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre (a little bit of a drive). We wanted a place in the country to stay in between our city stays in Venice and Rome and... more

My bride and I detoured into the Fonte De Medici for a couple of days on our honeymoor in July 2006. First, the facility and the countryside were beautiful. Indescribably beautiful. The location is in the middle of the Chianti Classico region. But...to be clear...it is in the middle of the vineyards. Once you arrive, you are isolated. The room... more

The location is close to Siena and Florence but way out in the country and smack in the middle of a vineyard. Be prepared for mosquitos and other wildlife (and I mean it, we saw a wild boar on the property, and foxes visited the patio restaurant every night to compete with the local cats for tidbits). But it was... more

We stayed in Fonte de Medici in July at the end of our honeymoon. It was really beautiful, the staff was very helpful , the views were wonderful and the room we stayed (Aglianico)was beautiful. It had a typical tuscan decoration and it was huge. It also had air-conditioning which was very important since it was really hot at that... more
