Stayed there as part of a group for a friends birthday celebration. Very comfortable rooms fitted out to a good standard, very helpful staff, great food, great selection of local beers. Good outside seating area, plenty of car parking. Would recommend to all.

We stayed at the Cuckoo Brow on a KGB Deal, and couldnt have been more pleased. The weather was great which always makes a difference but the B&B was lovely. Bathroom was very good indeed (although we did have to get the manager to turn the boiler up as we had no hot water at first but all was fine... More

Stopped here for lunch during a walk, gorgeous sunny day and sat in the little garden, really nice. Good menu, good food and great service. Definitely recommend.

We walked to the Inn from the ferry and were in need of refreshment after the uphill climb! We found a delightful Inn, very welcoming, with warming open fires, quirky and yet traditional decor and an unusual lunch menu. There was an eclectic mix of customers, Beatrix Potter attracts people from all over the World, and although busy the food... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, expecting to find the reviews over-enthusiastic. How wrong we were! The reception was superb, from booking in to being shown to our room. The room was very well appointed, with a huge bed and amazingly powerful shower over the bath. The flat screen TV on the wall gave plenty of programs and the tea/coffee/hot... More

Stayed here for two nights following the May Day Bank Holiday having got a reduced price deal through Moneysupermarket and were not disappointed. Staff very friendly and accommodating, room small but very cosy and warm, with comfortable kingsize bed, ensuite with powerful shower and heated towel rail. In a fairly remote area but what scenery, and was a good base... More

We stayed at this Inn many times over 20 years until it became desperately in need of refurbishment . What a difference we saw when we stayed 2 weeks ago !! All credit to the friendly & efficient young team who are now staffing the inn . They were excellent & so was the food . Try the smoked salmon... More

Thank you for your really kind comments, it always makes us really happy when guests of the old hotel enjoy staying at the new Cuckoo Brow Inn. I am sorry that we didnt point out the beautiful range of Lake District toiletries we have in the gift shop before you popped to the local shop. But I am glad that... More

Once again had a great stay at Cuckoo Brow. Lovely food, need to repeat the ratatouille tart with goats cheese- fantastic. Great staff, friendly atmosphere and nice beer garden. No t.v's in bar - what a refreshing change. Great views from the Inn. Nice chilled out music. Room's immaculate. Looking forward to the next time. Heather and John

Set in a peaceful and stunning rural location, this inn has lots of atmosphere. The rooms have been recently renovated very tastefully in a country period style. There are two bedroom areas separated with the bar and the dining room areas in the middle. Our twin room was comfortable and had a beautiful rural view out of the window. Being... More
