20 of my family stayed here for a family wedding, we had travelled from the uk. We all had a fabulous time, the management, staff, service and food were amazing. Everyone made us more than welcome. the self catering houses were spotless. I would highly recommend this family run hotel!!!!!

We stayed in one of the '4 star' apartments in the complex for a wedding. On checking in we were told there would be no breakfast the morning of the wedding, a minor inconvenience but on opening the door of the apartment the cold hit us! We turned all the heaters on and 4 hours later the place was still... More

Read some of these reviews after booking accommodation for a weekend. I am glad I had not read them before as I would not have booked. We had a three bedroom appartment and everything was of the best quality and wll planned. It looks as if most of the reviews refer to the hotel accommodation and not the self catering.... More

We stayed here after attending a wedding in the rctory and it was a real diasppointment. The room was something like from the 60's. Painted white press, uncomfrotable bed. There was also a terrible smell of ol in our bedroom and had a sore throat when i woke up in the morning. We had to cross over the car park... More

We went on a 'deal.' For two mid-week nights in a self-catering, one-bed apartment it was €199 and it was overpriced. Modern, with all the stuff you need to cook and clean. But charmless and for some reason (it wasn't busy) we were given a ground floor, pretty dark apartment with a disabled bathroom/wetroom. So when you had a shower... More

My family recently spent a weekend in one of the 3-bedroom guesthouses attached to the Marine Hotel. Reservation was very simple, staff were friendly and accommodating, the rate was excellent, and the houses were beautiful and very highly equipped. When our children discovered the TVs in every bedroom, we risked missing the beautiful scenery of West Cork! Food in the... More

From reading the reviews, there seems to be an obvious gap in standards between the hotel rooms and the apartments. I stayed recently in the apartments with a group and they were excellent. I could'nt fault them. The breakfast in the hotel was also excellent.Whilst the dinner was'nt huate cuisine, it was'nt selling itself as such and was good wholesome... More

Went here for a family dinner recently. The food was really good. Particularly the steaks. Really good portions and well cooked, Seafood was also lovely. However the service needs vast improvement. My father rang up to make a booking for 11 people on a Wednesday night. It took them about 3 hours to ring back to confirm they could take... More

We went to the Marine through a t/share exchange and were suitably impressed with the 3 bed apartment allocated. All bases covered in respect to furnishings and appliances and the decor was of a good standard. Definitely a spacious apartment with a nice view over the small harbour from the balcony which due to the weather we couldn't utilise fully.... More

Like others stayed due to Wedding at rectory. Bar was fine, food there actually pretty good. What a waste of a chance for this place to be a really good venue. The room we stayed in seems to have damp, and lacks the basics you would expect at the most basic of hotels. The bar actually seems separate from the... More
