We stayed at a nearby hotel but had heard from a fellow guest that the pizzas at the Hotel Paradiso were very good. We took the short walk to the Hotel Paradiso in the early evening. On approaching the hotel it looked very nice and welcoming even though the evening was threatening to be ruined by the weather. On arrival at the hotel we saw a chef sitting on the wall outside smoking, being a smoker myself I understand the need for the occaisonal break, but surely not in a public place front of house. When we went into the hotel we saw the dining area and headed straight for the balcony which was partially covered by a canopy, the outside eating area overlooked the lake which provided a wonderful backdrop for the evening. We were greeted by a smartly dressed waiter and we requested a table for two outside.
