Just back from a very relaxing 3 day break with the wife its a very quaint olde worlde pub with happy helpful staff located almost in the middle of nowhere , the meals are large and good quality . the rooms are a bit dated but comfortable Dogs are made to feel welcome with plenty of scenic walks locally more

Have just returned from the blue ball inn which i would definately recommend. The location is wonderful and lots of fantastic walks on your doorstep with no need to drive. It helps if you like walking uphill though. Thats all I will say! The scenery is spectacular. I had never been to this part of the country and was amazed.... more

This pub genuinely does welcome dogs - with a bowl of water, a biscuit and lots of patting and attention! They are welcome throughout the building and never made to feel in the way however big or small. We were lucky enough for our car to break down in front of this establishment yesterday and am very greatful for the help that their wonderful staff gave.
