This is one of the premier places to stay in Newfoundland and Labradour. Beulah Oake and staff are marvelous hosts. The meals are Newfoundland home cooking and great. It is ok to bring your own wine. Change Islands is a place you must experience and Seven Oakes is the absolute best place to stay. Rooms are spacious, extremely clean, and... More

Seven Oakes offers three spotless two-berooom cottages as well as lovely rooms in the main inn, most with their own bathrooms. The setting is magical. You reach Change Islands by ferry from Farewell, which is about 85 km from Gander, and "step back in time" as you arrive on the islands. Seven Oakes is on the north island, not far... More

We stayed at seven oakes for one night. We would of stayed longer but there was no internet access available. The website clearly says there was. when we approached the owner she denied wireless internet service was advertised. We had to park a distance from the building because the small parking lot was full.Beautiful view from the room and the staff... If you want to feel like you are visiting the real Newfoundland, this is your place. Beulah is truly one of the best B&B hostesses you will ever meet. Everything is done so well, the rooms are lovely, the food is all home-cooked and tastes delicious. Great place to relax and soak up the scenery. Many of her guests are... More

My daughter and I spent three nights in one of Beulas"s cottages and three days walking the trails on Change Island. The cottage was roomy, very clean and well stocked with all we needed to do our own cooking. (although the smells coming from Beulah's kitchen were very tempting.) Words can't describe this beautiful island, you have to experience it.... More

Beulah has been running this business for 25 years and is as enthusiastic as any innkeeper I've ever met. We had a lovely room with two twin beds and an ensuite bathroom in the newer part of the home. We were lucky enough to arrive before dinner and enjoyed a salad, pan fried cod dinner with vegs and Beulah's partridge... More

My husband and I stayed at Seven Oakes Island Inn in 2001. We stayed there again in 2003. We are planning a return trip in 2010 and I cannot wait. I love the province of Newfoundland Labrador. I would not stay anywhere but here in Change Island. The power of serenity is so overwhelming here I cannot describe. We told... More

Change Islands is a short car ferry ride (15 min) near Twillingate and is a must see. If you do go the other must see and do is to stay at the Seven Oakes Inn. Located up high in the main town so that you can see the sunrise and sunset from the wrap-around deck. The rooms are beautiful, a... More
