Absolutely fantastic stay and time we had at Coubister B&B. Far succeeded our expectations, which were already set high anyway. Directions from Denise herself, emailed to me were spot on and easy to follow. The accomodation was just fantastic, can't elaborate more, just fantastic! Food excellent! Denise was more than helpful re: things to do, how to go about doing... More

Four of us stayed here for six nights in late May. The house has a wonderful quiet position in its own grounds with panoramic view of Scapa Flow, Graemsay and Hoy. It is modern, purpose built and well furnished. As a party of four we had the first floor to ourselves. The accommodation comprises two double bedrooms with en suite... More

I only stayed for one night - had time allowed I have stayed for much longer! This is a gem of a place where everything is in order with all kinds of warm personal touches - and NOTHING is too much trouble to Denise and Kiff. Breakfast at 6am to catch the early flight to Edinburgh - no problem ......... More

We spent two days in August in this beautiful BB. Family is very nice and warm, and helped Us in getting tickets for Hoy island as well as provided huge info about places and things to do. The room is outstanding, the breakfast superb, and the house is precious. Last but not least, Flo is wonderful...guess who is!

Coubister is by far the best b&b we have ever stayed in - we wish we could give it an even higher rating. Everything was first class, the hosts were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We felt very special. The food was superb with breakfasts to die for. There was absolutely everything on the menu to suit... More

Perfect location, very peaceful with spectacular water views across to Stromness and Hoy, and just a short drive to Stromness. You will need a car, though. Amazing comfort, advice and warm hospitality. Spacious new bedrooms with excellent bathrooms are perfectly equipped. That includes a super-comfortable guest sitting room with fabulous views across the water to Hoy. It is loaded with... More

It was an amazing stay in Orkney. It was sunny and hot and the B&B was one of the best things of our stay. The room views were wonderful: the sea and isle of Hoy. It the B&B we had all that we can think about, guides, binoculars, shower and bath... And Denise is so kind and nice. She gave... More

We spent 3 unforgettable days in this wonderful B&B in a fantastic location overlooking the hills of the isle of Hoy. Denise and her husband are so nice and kind and made us feel at home. The house is a beautiful wooden cottage in a very convenient position (half way from Kirkwall and Stromness); our double room was spacious, bright... More
