We were six adults and two children staying here in late July, in the ground-floor apartment. It has four bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, lounge-diner, outdoor dining table on patio, and garden with footballs, barbecue and blow-up paddling pool; all nicely and plainly decorated. It's in a quiet area of Mittersill, but next door to the sports complex with its indoor swimming-pool (7 euros), and only five minutes walk to the town centre.
Mittersill also has an outdoor public pool, several bars, three churches, clothes shops (to buy your lederhosen and felt hats!), a museum and a little supermarket. There are nearby walks and cycle-hire (a cycle path goes along the main valley) but the town is not swamped by tourism. The nearest cable car is in the next village along. more
