Was on a business trip in Japan and had a weekend to myself, so decided to spend the weekend ski-ing in Hakuba. The hotel was selected by travel agent, but what an excellent choice - great location in the centre of Happo-one, very close to the ski lfts. Staff are very friendly, especially the owner Maruyama san.

I have a snowboard trip in Hakuba, as the information they provide from the website, all the faclities as they mention are very detail, also we do communication thru the email, thereforr we decided to staymin this hotel.

Beautiful Boutique family run hotel. My family had an excellent stay in Taigakukan. Friendly and attentive staff make our 4 nights stay an wonderful experience. Owner Mr Maruyama senior and Tetsuya-san are extremely friendly. Will definitely go back again.

We had a fabulous time at Taigakukan. Great service, great food, a wonderful traditional onsen (Japanese style hot bath), and very central to the ski slopes. The owner, Maruyama san, and his staff were always very friendly and helpful - they organized ski hire and english speaking instructors from the ski school and gave us all the best tips on...
