Chateau de Picomtal does not try to look like most modern castles with XXI century fashion. You really feel cut from the outside world, close to nature. A wonderful view over the lac de Serre Poncon, near Embrun.

We only stayed for one night, but it was the nicest hotel on our short trip through ther South of France. Sharon and Jacques are really genial host. The rooms are elegant, the house is calm, you will have a quiet sleep and a phantastic view at the morning. It is a place were you want to come back.

We arrived on bikes under the rain, Jacques was standing there to welcome and to allow us in his wonderful castle, where we could even choose our own room! And it's been a difficult choice, they're all stunning! I slept in Morgon and had only good dreams :) Great breakfast too in a medieval-looked-like taste!
