The Northern is the best hotel in Brechin, which isn't saying much since Brechin only has 2 hotels (the other is the Caledonian, don't stay there unless you're really on a budget). My wife and i were only here for the food but it was quite good. Thought the menu could have had a better selection of pub favourites but all in all, quite worth going to. Prices a little high as a steak pie is 9.95 but the decor inside is cozy and welcoming so didnt grumble paying that much. More

The room was ok, but very noisy, the windows was broken and just tape insteand of replacing. It had a party in the hotel, and children plays in the room area, knocking at he door for the fun. More

Part of a group of 14 St. Johnstone fans, went to the Northern Hotel in Brechin for a meal. The hotel was packed full for meals and yet the service was brilliant, food was excellent also. Thank you Northern Hotel for a great day. Happy Saints fans :) More
