This is a small hotel with the specific charms you do not find in large hotel chains. Our experience of Hotel du Lac was very good. We found the place clean and without any visible spiders. Being next to lake there had to be the odd flying insect. The view east along the water made up for them. The room (#103) was clean and well kept. A room safe which could be lifted out of the wardrobe... more
I was originally inspired to try this hotel based on its web site, proximity to Lac Leman, Geneve itself, and because I had never traveled to Switzerland before. 4 years and 3 visits later, Hotel du Lac has, presumably, changed ownership – or at least I hope it has, because it is not what it was 4 years ago.
