Having spent an afternoon at the Horseshoe Inn the hospitality from the gentleman in charge was second to none. We were seated immediately (although we had booked a table in advance which is advisable as it was very busy even for a wet January Sunday!) The food was excellent with a good variety on the menu and the quality of... More

I think that it is the case of book early to avoid disappointment! If you don't know where Levisham is, not sure why you wouldn't if you are looking at this review, but if not.... Levisham is just of the Malton to Whitby road, not too far from Thornton Le Dale to the south and from Goathland to the north.... More

We were staying in the village and we were recommended the pub for our evening meal and were not disappointed. Located at the end of the main village street, lounge bar with separate side room for larger parties. Great open fire ! Good varied menu, most food sourced locally which they are proud of and list the names of their... More

Wanted to get away with my lovely wife for a couple of days and having had a drink here during the summer and liked what I saw I booked one night. The evening meal was very nice, lamb shank x 2 two bottles of Rose and we were the last ones to bed. The room was ok and comfortable but... More

This was our first stay (2 nights) at The Horseshoe Inn since Charlie and Toby Woods bought it. It has been improved out of all recognition since our two previous visits and the new owners deserve warm congratulations on their achievement. The young staff are so welcoming and efficient; the meals are exceptional in variety, quality and portion size (main... More

My partner and I had a lovely meal at the Horseshoe last Sunday. Food was excellent quality - not the standard Sunday carvey rubbish. Really cosy atmosphere - real fire, lovley location. Loved the beef pie and Eton Mess. Will be back next time we are in the area x More

Our wine club 'The FEW' (all eight of us) have now celebrated our Autumn Gathering at The Horseshoe for the last three years, usually during the first weekend in November. In the past we have stayed at various village pub/restaurants but we have so enjoyed Charlie and Toby's excellent hospitality that none of us now wish to stay elsewhere! The... More

We had an excellent stay at the Horseshoe Inn. As a large party we had problems booking a hotel in the area but the Horseshoe Inn was very accommodating. We had a comfortable room in the main building looking out over the village. The food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. Only problem being the portions were... More

My wife and I recently stayed at The Horseshoe in Levisham with some friends of ours. We arrived late on the Friday evening in the middle of a terrific rainstorm but were still met in the car park with smiles and the warmest of greetings by the staff. After drying ourselves off we had a lovely dinner, washed down in... More
