What a gem, I stayed comfortably for a week enjoying, Lorna, the staff and the setting. I cannot fault a single thing with the establishment and strongly recommend Peace Valley Guesthouse. I will definitely want to stay there again when I next visit Napier.

This is without a doubt one of the best places I have ever stayed at, and I travel extensively. The estate is beautifully peaceful, where one can do yoga at the ponds, watch the birds, take long walks in nature on the estate in absolute bliss. The suite I stayed in was spacious with a well equipped kitchen that makes you feel right at home. Cleanliness is paramount for me, and this establishment gets 10/10 for that too. Everything was neat and clean. I will definitely recommend Peace Valley Guesthouse. Absolutely amazing.

Most Enjoyable. The questions below which are not applicable are rated as 1. the only real problem was that the bathroom was a bit small for a room of the size we stayed in. The gardens are really fantastic.

After many years of wanting to stay in Napier, we decided to do so on the weekend of the Napier Festival - wonderful event! Our stay was very pleasant and peaceful. The amazing gardens and view from the balcony stunning. The apartment is very quite and super spacious too. Situated very centrally and within walking distance of the beautiful town and facilities. The one aspect I would upgrade are curtains on the windows and not only blinds. This would make sleeping in a little easier as it becomes light early in the morning.

The property was immaculate. The setting was perfectly designed to escape and unwind from city life. There is also a pool on the property for visits during summer. Will definitely be back to stay at this amazing accommodation

A very comfortable and yes, peaceful place to stay in wonderful Napier. The cottage is spacious and the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. The place is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with two little dams. Explore Napier or just take the day off and enjoy the bird life in the garden.

Lorna is a very friendly, helpful host and was very accommodating with our rather late arrival. In fact, she is such a lovely host that one feels bad to write a brutally honest review, but here goes. I stayed here with a colleague on a work trip. The views and setting are beautiful. The bed linen is good quality white cotton and still new. And that's it for the plus list. I had the more comfortable, spacious "front room room with balcony", and he had the blue room which had two single beds despite the fact that hotels.com lists it as a room with a double bed. Screenshot unfortunately not allowed on TripAdvisor. The hotels.com photo of what is supposed to be the blue room looks very attractive, but it's completely misleading, showing a seating area in the communal passage outside the blue room, on the way to the front room and the loft room, so I'm including a photo of the real blue room here. However, the biggest problem here is that the interior layout is not ideal for a B&B set-up. The blue room does not have an en suite bathroom, which is disclosed in the listing. If one family were to rent the entire house, they would be more comfortable than individuals who want privacy from each other. It is also awkward that breakfast is served in Lorna's personal dining area, which is accessed via an interior stair case. That said, it was a very good breakfast made with quality ingredients and care. Sadly, with the exception of the lovely bed linen, the interior finishes and furnishings are completely outdated and unattractive, like the wall to wall carpets, blue floor and wall tiles, and brown palette reminiscent of the 1970s. …

The room was fantastic, Big, clean and airy with a big comfortalble bed. The view over the dam and garden where great. My wife and I enjoyed litening to the wildlife in the evning. The comunal areas had a very well equiped kitchen. Ample tea and real coffee was avlible. Cold water was on tap. We did not use the sitting room, but this was very comfortable looking. A good size pool was avalible, but unfortunatly it rained during our visit so we did't use it. Lorna our host was very frendly and gave good advice on places to visit and where to eat. The breackfast was good. Would I stay again: Yes

The Guesthouse is situated at the end of town, in a lovely valley setting. It has large gardens with two ponds, 3 resident friendly dogs, a cat and bird life. There is a small pool with a seating area. We were staying in the Blue Room which was comfortable but basic. No air conditioning, and you have to ask for a fan. Room had wooden blinds but no curtains, so if you want blackout you will need to use the blankets provided. Had too kill 2 mosquitoes with supplied spray. We had access to a fully functional kitchen and had an adjacent bathroom. Unfortunately our first night was disturbed by constant window banging above us due to the high winds. This was fixed. The breakfast was good and the owner and staff friendly. If you like a country setting and are an animal lover, this Guesthouse is for you.…
