Traveled to Axminster for a wedding anniversary celebration and stayed one night at Highfield B&B,easy to find and 10 minute walk from town centre. The house is absolutely lovely and the bedroom was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and cosy. Judy and Hedley are the perfect hosts, they treat you like friends and go out of their way to make you feel... More

Our recent stay at Highfield exceeded our expectations and couldn't have been bettered. Judy and Hedley did everything possible to make us welcome and meet our needs from the first to last minute. Nothing was too much trouble and consequently we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing short stay in Axminster - eating extremely well at breakfast and feeling nicely pampered in... More

The breakfast was amazing. Can Judy come and cook our breakfast every weekend please? You really made us feel very welcome and as if we were staying the... More

Judy and Hedley are great hosts. Not only in their prompt reply on enquiring if there was a vacancy but also in helping to organise a taxi to river cottage and ensuring that we arrived at river cottage on time. The breakfast was a good spread including a filling cooked breakfast and lots of tips about what to do in... More

I must endorse all the other excellent reviews for this B&B. Judy and Hedley made us feel so welcome immediately. The ensuite room was spotless and fresh bottled spring water was provided daily, in addition to the customary refreshment tray. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Add to this the proximity to River Cottage HQ and the Axminster Canteen, which... More
