We haven't eaten here for a few years so I was anxious as changed hands last year, and service and food used to be wonderful so a lot to live up to. So pleased we took a chance; 6 fussy eaters, 6 different meals and 6 very satisfied diners. All our meals were very different and I don't consider we... More

We have just enjoyed our second visit to the Lugger Inn in Weymouth. We have stayed in various places in and around the Weymouth area. The Lugger Inn offers very good value for money where the staff are friendly and there are high standards of cleanliness. The breakfasts are first class and there is a good and wide selection on the Restaurant Menu.... Unfortunately, we stayed with two small children on a night when the bar had live music, so that probably has a bearing on the quality of sleep (or lack of) that we had until midnight. We had a family room, which was a very good size, more than enough space for the four of us. The bathroom looked nice, until... More

I have eaten here on previous ocasssions, but this is the first since the new owners took over. We went on a quiet evening last week just 4 of us. Old fashioned pub, but the restaurant area lacks warmth and the tables are very small. Got our drinks and received the menu, pub basics nothing inspiring, lasagne, fish & chips,... More

We had decided on a nice evening meal out and popped into the Lugger on a Sunday evening, the landlady greeted us and asked if we'd like to sit in the bar area with the young kids football team or the restuarant with the tearaways...I laughed thinking she was joking and said neither..we were shown to a table, there was... We went as a family for somebodys 80th birthday. It was a Sunday so we had a carvery. The meal was very average, the "roast" potatoes were pale and underdone, the veg was a bit tasteless. If we had been on our own we would have returned it, however we didn't want to cause a fuss and ruin the party.... More

We booked this for a surprise 60th party. Family came from all over the south West, travelling especially to be here, some travelled 2 hours. Shame that we were chucked out after only two hours, even though the pub stated it was open all day. we had finished our meal and the 'landlady' came in and started packing away all... More
