Very welcoming, you feel at home straight away. Very good food and plenty of it. Beautiful setting in the middle of the vineyards. Price a bit steep but you do get what you pay for, a little lounge would have been nice. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

After a wonderful trip last year to Burgundy last year my partner and I decided to continue our tour of the French wine country and go to Bordeaux along with another couple. We particularly wanted to visit Pauillac and using trip advisor stumbled across Chateau Pomys in the pretty village if Saint Estephe. On arrival we visited the winery and... More

Coming from California, We have always had a desire to visit the wine country in Bordeaux France, which is the gold standard for wine production. Instead of finding a hotel in the city of Bordeaux, we decided to locate in the middle of wine country at Chateau Pomys in Saint-Estephe. Chateau Pomys is an absolutely beautiful chateau-hotel, with friendly staff... More

We stayed during a recent trip round France and this was one of many chateau's we stayed in. Though not making excuses, Pomy's should not be judged simply by standards of hotels, its like staying in someones home albeit a very old and grand one smack bang in the middle of the most breautiful countryside WITH the bonus of having... We only stayed overnight as we were rushing through this area unfortunately, but found the room to be simple but very comfortable and clean. Nearby dining options were somewhat limited.

Sadly, this might have been an entirely different review had it not been for the following circumstances. Upon checking into our room, my friends and I noticed an abundance of long black hairs (over a dozen) on the bathroom floor, hanging out of the trash basket and in the tub area as well as the separate toilet room...which also had... We spent the last two nights of a long European trip (mainly Spain and Portugal) here before flying out from Bordeaux. We chose to stay in the countryside rather than in the city and were well rewarded. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay in a delightful setting. We enjoyed a splendid dinner out on the terrace and had a private... More

Pomys has a nice chateau/country house hotel feel. Not overly grand, but it feels the part. The second floor 'superior' room, and it's bed, were huge, with the bathroom and WC in two separate en-suite rooms. The room spanned two windows, with views over a lovely, if informal, garden with vines beyond and the Gironde estuary in the distance. The... More

Ch Pomys is both a respected winemaker (personally very fond of their wines) and they rent rooms at the chateau. Do not expect a full blown hotel, there is a one man reception, 10 rooms some of which were recently renovated in a beautiful Bordeaux setting. No other real amenities that I was aware of. There rooms are good, clean... More

We made a visit to this quite Chateau in the middle of july for two nights. It is beautifully lo-cated in the middle of the winefields near the Medoc vine district. The rooms were nice and not too small, each room is decorated after different wine themes. It is clean and cleaned every day. It offers a nice shower and... More
