Bush Lodge was the highlight of my trip to South Africa. The personal touch of the owners and staff were amazing. Elias and Werner gave us some exciting rides with some great up close and personal views of the African wildlife. Oh what a treat to see the mama white rhino and her baby in the moonlight lit clearing. I could... More

Bush Lodge so impressed me in February 2011 that I returned in May 2012. The accommodations are top-rate, the staff superb and experiencing the animals up close in a reserve that maintains the highest standards of conservation tops my list of places to visit. Owners Tracy and Rod helped by Rene are perfect hosts, rangers like Werner and Elias are... More

My partner and I stayed at the Bush Lodge for 3 nights, as part of a 2 week holiday in South Africa. I can honestly say it was the nicest place I have ever stayed and I'll remember the safari forever. Ranger - Our ranger - Graeme Wheeler was absolutely amazing - he had substantial knowledge of everything we asked... More

We initially booked for 4 nights at Reed Valley as my wife had stayed there before. On arrival we were upgraded to Bush Lodge for 2 nights - what a treat! All the staff are so attentive and really personable (thank you to Rene for organising). We loved the chats and felt we got to know them on a personal... More

We stayed for four nights at Bush Lodge. It was the best part of our South Africa trip. We arrived just after 2pm, which is where we were lucky but learnt our first tip: don't be late. The lodge runs to a schedule, and lunch is at 2 and the afternoon game drive is at 3. We managed to have... More

We spent 4 nights in all at Amakhala, 2 in bush lodge. Our 2 nights in Reed Valley Inn were excellent but a little inconvenient for everyone so the transfer to Bush Lodge made everything even better. Best of all though was having Elias as our ranger for all our drives. He is incredibly knowledgeable, an excellent 'tracker' and friendly... More

My wife and I and 2 daughters spent 4 nights. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. The rooms/cabins were excellent. When we returned from game drives each day in the evening our spacious cabins had a hot bath with oils waiting for us with a wood burning fire giving good heat. Nothing better after bouncing... More

We took a family group of 10 to this lodge in January and were amazed by it! It is situated in a valley in the bush with each room an individual thatched building around a watering hole where you can see wildlife . The rooms were fantastic...we each had a suite comprising huge bedroom, separate sitting/viewing area, a great bathroom... More
