The Ao Phrao Beach Resort sits on a stretch of perfect beach. It is the only resort in the bay along a beach of pure sand, palm fringed, with jungle covered hills rising beyond. Simply paradise! The resort itself is beautifully set out amidst tall palm trees with lovely gardens and good sized, clean bungalows. Staff are very friendly (do not speak much English though) and can arrange daytrips snorkelling or visiting the waterfalls on the island. Kayaks are available for free to explore the bay.

There are some Buts though. First, the beach beyond the stretch occupied by the resort is actually quite dirty, gathering up whatever passing boats abandon into the sea (shan't give much detail here). It's a great shame they don't look after this. Second, this is not the place for you if you need any distraction such as shopping, bars, clubs, or even a choice of restaurants.
