After a long drive from Leh to Nubra Valley, you need a comfortable place like Silk Route cottages to unwind. The restaurant serves buffet dinner and bfast at specified timings. They also arrange campfire if a large group of tourists are visiting the place. Most of the guests leave early in the morning, so they do make sure to pack... More

Saw its name figuring in the Camps Of Ladakh, hence I insisted my agent to book this for me..stayed here for 2 nights..Don't see any big positives..very ordinary cottages and no views from this place.. terrible on food.. and the owner serves stale food to your driver (needless to say its the last thing you want there that your driver... We reached the silk route cottages by late afternoon after visiting the white sand dunes of ladakh. We were surprised to find the village to be quite a big one.Winding through the cobblestone roads across several streams we drove into the hotel. We were greeted by loud sounds of a party under the apricot trees. We were greeted by the manager ,very courteous... We stayed there for a night, but enjoyed the stay. We booked the bamboo cottages which were cosy and beautiful. They have maintained the resort quite well. Food is good and service is excellent. Electricity, as in all other camps is provided for 3 hours generally 7 pm to 10 PM. The resort itself is so serene, you won't think... More

We stayed in this tented accommodation for a night. We were told by our travel agent that we would be staying in a luxury tented accommodation and were really looking forward for this. We had stayed in luxury tents before during our trip to Badari and Kedarnath provided by leisure holidays , Jaisalmer sand dunes and we had thought that... More

We spent one night here. The cottages are basic, but comfortable. Electricity is there for just about four hours in the evening, hot water for one hour in the morning. The food was very good, and the staff helpful. We enjoyed walking around the village. The children of the village are very friendly and playful. Overall it was a very... More

The most exciting part about this property is its location - right in the middle of the Sumoor valley with nothing but the mountains & tall trees around you. They have a nice veggie garden within the property & most of the stuff they cook is directly from this garden. The only sound you get to hear are the sweet... More

Staying at Silk Route at Nubra Valley was really a good decision I have taken. The location is beautiful with basic amenities. Best part was the fresh food we had there... the staff has picked up the vegetables from there kitchen garden in front of us. The food was homely and delicious. Our room (101) was pretty comfortable and after... More

The cottages are located in Sumur village and are laid out beautifully. There is a lovely garden laid out, vegetable garden out in the back and the rooms are basic bamboo cottages. The cottages are small and cozy. The bathrooms are very very basic. There are some restrictive timings on the electricity and hot water supply. But given the location... More

It’s a long but lovely drive along the Nubra river to this hideaway under the shadow of a glaciated mountain. Although the travel agent told him twice the name of the facility before we left Leh, my driver -- who couldn’t understand more than a few words in English -- took the better part of the afternoon finding the place....
