Visited shimoga recently and checked into this hotel. Good location,decently maintained premises. Bit overpriced for the amenities provided. The hotel must have seen some good days in the past. roomservice was good but the linens provided were old and dirty specifically the towels.Provided with better quality towels after it was requested.Overall an average hotel.

Hey ppl....i visited shimoga for a 2 day trip and had to stay here. The hotel is old but badly maintained. I dint find it clean. Toilets are dirty. Shabby place. It has a bar attached. There were ppl drinking in their rooms keeping the door open. No 1 to complain. Cleanliness is an issue here. Please avoid.

The first choice of any tourist to Shimoga in Karnataka for a good stay is the Hotel Jewel Rock. Situated in the heart of the town, it offers traditional delicacies of Malnad area. Staff are good and hospitable. Rooms are clean and neat. One would really get good value for money.

The Hotel is in close proximity from Shimoga main bus stand and kind of nice budget hotel. I took A/C deluxe double room. Maintenance is not so good and the hotel looks little shabby. It has good restaurant attached to it. Overall nice stay if you don't want to spend much in small town.

After 1976 visited again in March 2012 .Old memories of hotel, not much of a change , over 25 years.Still fine place to stay being center of the city.South Indian dishes and a good bar . Long ago it was the only hotel in Shimoga for all the business get together and stay.

A good and clean hotel with ample of car parking. Nice people around in the hotel. They have a very good Bar & Restaurant apart from a veg restaurant.
