It was a business trip and we were reluctant to stay in a Government run property. But Tourist Village in outskirts of Shivpuri is a excellent place at a reasonable price. Very good location, well kept gardens, wonderful view of adjoining lake from hotel rooms and neat and clean rooms and bath. Service and food although limited but was good.

This is an M.P. Tourist property in a beautiful setting by a lake. It's just a bit run down and a bit grubby. The restaurant was OK with a limited menu, which was even more limited by things not being available. The breakfast was very basic - no juice, just bananas and Indian choices. Eggs and toast had to ordered... More

Well this place falls in the layover point for our frequent Delhi Mumbai road trips.Govt propertys arebest located and least taken care of. This one is an exception. Rooms are low bedded and comfy with reasonable comfort and cleanliness. The rooms look out to the lake and the reserve beyond. Though no big game appear to be residing here but... More

We had planned a family get together in Shivpuri for New Year (2011) and had booked ourselves in the Tourist Village. Knowing that our group consisted of 20+ people of all age groups, toddlers@10 months to 75 year old adults we were not so sure about how the experience would be especially since this is not a private property. However... More

Though the hotel is a govt hotel and you always remain apprehensive but the motel is very good. In middle of nature and full of beauty. It can be a relaxing place with family also, after a hard working day, the place is rejuvenating and excellent

The hotel is located little far from city centre. The room were not clean and in the night differet kind of insects were roaming around. The food quality was also average. The room service was also not good.

North India has some prime location owned hotels, each with a different level of service and room quality. This one had: a poor breakfast included, below average room with the only internet was behind the front desk. All this for 1,860 Rupees per night or about $43.00USD. To much for so little!
