Very much enjoyed our stay. We had the superkingsize bed room, the bed is fine, and there is a bath in the bathroom, it is better than the shower. The road junction is busy but we didn't find the room noisy - the window is double glazed and we had it closed anyway. Maybe in the summer this might be...

As always we chose this accomodation from reading the excellent reviews and have to agree with every point, ie rooms, Julie the Landlady, breakfast, welcome and comfort.
We stayed for two nights in a super kingsize room. The comfort of the bed was on a par with our own at home. The flat screen television was indeed large. The room...

As with many B & Bs in the area due to steep sided valleys we are on a main road. Maybe the other reviewers realised that the A5012 denoted this and noise from it was of no real concern to them. However, all the rooms are double glazed. We do try to make our home as comfortable as possible for...

Booked the super kingsize room as a treat for a long weekend away. Really glad we did. Room was spacious, has beamed ceiling and a huge TV should you want to wind down the evening.
On arrival we were shown round, had a coffee and biscuits brought to us and had a chat with Julie. Really friendly and couldn't do...

We spent 5 days exploring the Peak District and the Pig of Lead was the perfect base. The room was comfortable, clean and large with a nice big TV. The breakfast, especially the bacon, was delicious and Julie our host was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this excelent B&B.

Owner of Pig of Lead is very welcoming and makes you a hot drink with biscuits on your arrival. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good and she did a special vegetarian one for myself. The lounge is very nice to relax in after a days walk.It was Bonsall carnival that weekend which was very good with...

"Julie" provides a most welcoming B.&B. & her breakfasts are superb - individually cooked to a very high standard & on piping hot plates ( which you don't get in the majority of 4* hotels). She will provide anything you ask for & if it is not available one day it will be the next!
I always take a folding...

We arrived rather late in the evening but received a warm welcome from Julie before being shown to our room, which ticked all the boxes - spacious, comfortable, with an enormous double bed and a full size, en-suite bathroom with shower. In the morning, we were treated to one of the best English breakfasts we have ever had - bacon,...

I had a few days between business trips and happened upon the Pig of Lead. Bonsall village is an ideal location for touring this beautiful area. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, good showers. Breakfast is excellent. But the reason for all this is the owners, two of the finest people you will ever meet. I am not related. Honest....
