We stayed at Lower Yelland Farm with our friends in August 2009, (four nights) we had a great welcome, the rooms were very comfy, the breakfast was excellent (Great fresh eggs! Supermarkets could learn a thing or two about great tasting eggs!!) Very flexible about breakfast serving time, always good for a holiday. A great location to explore Devon, in... more

I stayed at lower yelland farm for a couple of nights in early sep2009. Overall it was a good stay. Location was excellent, just a few miles from Bideford and Barnstaple and direct access to the Tarka trail and the South coast paths. Staff were friendly and inviting and Breakfast was up to scratch with home made milk, bread and... more

I have to admit i didn't know what to expect on arrival at this b&b, but we were met by the friendly owner Peter who gave us all the information that we were needing. The Accommodation - suitable for our needs, yes. We had a room with a four poster bed, a little cabin bed for our toddler, and the... more

One of the best places i have ever stayed, in the UK and North America. Simple home cooking with home made bread and home produced eggs. What more can you ask for ? The room we had was full of character and very comfortable. Peter and everyone at the farm were very helpful. When we asked for a suggestion for... more

We both had a fantastic time at Lower Yelland Farm. The service was superb. Our hosts were always cheerful and happy to offer advice on local attractions, as well as where to find the 'best cream tea in Devon'. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious; freshly laid eggs in the 'Full English' and a great... more

Had to book in a hurry, and was rather put off by one of the reviews on here, but the farm is situated just 4 miles from where I wanted to be anyway. so decided to risk it. I am so pleased I did! The journey should have taken me 4 hours, but actually took 7. I telephoned to explain... more

We were disappointed with the Lower Yelland Farm. 1.Location is ordinary, near Barnstaple it is one of the less attractive parts of Devon. 2. We were disappointed with the farm. It was more like an ordinary B&B 3. The Breakfast was basic. Nothing like one would expect on a farm, fresh, organic and wholesome. 4.What upset me was the attitude... more

1.The farm is located in Britain's 1st new style Biosphere reserve recognised by ''Unesco'' and 200 yards from '' Isley Marsh'', a RSPB nature reserve. 2. How many ordinary B &B's have 30 horses, some with foals, 60 cows and numerous free range chickens all within 150 yards of the house. 3. All our produce is either homemade or sourced...
