Fairly quite on a Tuesday night - just 2 other tables. Very uninviting from the outside, but once inside the decor and staff were welcoming. Good to see some Nepalese dishes on the menu and we edged towards these rather than the traditional Indian items on the menu. The food was really tasty and interesting. The Chicken Kathmandu was particularly... More

visited here on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was not busy only one other party there (not surprising considering the day), I skipped the starter and went straight for the mains of chicken tikka, it came as you would expect on a hot skillet, it looked good but I found the the chicken quite dry and not much taste... I stayed here when visiting my brother and his girlfriend. The rooms are small, but warm (after you turn the heating on, it was freezing on arrival) and clean. If you're staying in the area, you will need to drive to reach the restaurant as it is in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant is fantastic. Indian food and ghurka... More

I had dinner here last night (Saturday). It was quite busy (there was another table with 27!) but the service was still excellent. The food is simply top notch. Reading the menu it sounds quite 'Indian' but when it arrives it is not - that is, not swimming in grease like Indian food often is in restaurants, just fresh and... More

This little gem is extremely good value. The room was clean, the staff attentive. Full English breakfast was included. And change from £50 for the night. I've used it as a stopover on the way to see Wales vs Argentina and I'm booked in again for Wales vs Australia (the rematch :)).. I would highly recommend it. Next time I'm... More

Woolaston is roughly between Chepstow and Gloucester so great base for exploring. Great welcome from owners - bar overlooks garden at back where some of the staff were relaxing by playing football. Room 6 is at the back of the hotel - basic B and B accomodation but nice and clean with fresh white linen. Several tips for the room... More

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Woolston Inn. It ticked all our boxes. The location was perfect for accessing the Forest of Dean and having such a fantastic restaurant on site was a very convenient bonus. Both the hotel and the restaurant were excellent value for money and the staff were friendly. It's a clean and simple place... More

We stayed overnight as it was recommended. The people who run this hotel/restaurant are very friendly and will go anything to make your stay enjoyable. The food was awesome, great service and very reasonable. Our room was quite small but very clean and as it was only for 1 night suited us. Cooked breakfast in the morning with tea toast... More

We arrived at 15:30 and were greeted with a warm smile and great service. We stayed for dinner and were impressed with the service and quality of food. All the staff were polite and professional and we could not fault anything. The hotel room was very good value for the price.
