Stayed for three nights in upstairs rooms which had magnificent views of Mt. K and associated mountains. There were plenty of blankets on beds and adequate hot water for showering. Pelling is being destroyed by uncontrolled building activity and heavy traffic. The Hotel aruda is an oasis with friendly and informative staff speaking excellent English. The restaurant is fine, nice tea, yougurt, pancakes and local dishes. A fantastic view of the mountains, best mountain view from anywhere in the Himalayas - direct full view of Khangchendzonga.
