Beautiful property. Hospitality was lost on the front desk staff. Mainly, the blonde frau who insulted us while smiling the entire time. In 16 days we stayed in 11 hotels in Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Amsterdam. This is the only hotel that charged for an 8 yr old child. Half fare for children over 7 yrs old. We... more
We've stayed 3x and are looking forward to the 4th, and so on visits. We have wonderful memories. The staff, food, and lodging are excellent and it is my number one place to visit in Europe. Highly recommend. more
We stayied two days. The hotel is placed in mountain, so the weather is not so good as it should be because of the spring season (low temperature and often raining). The hotel is big and clean, but we have not found a good way of managing (the water in bathroom didn’t fall down and only one hour later the... more
I don't want to give the impression that I work for this hotel or am on commission as a travel agent to sell room nights at it, because I am not, but this hotel is my favourite in the world, and I've travelled extensively. From first contact while I was in Australia to when I departed, service was first class.... more
I had a great time at the Interalpen and especially in winter this is a lovely setting. There are a few little huts nearby where you can get local food. Try Kaiserschmarrn, definitely a winner. The hotel itself is very beautiful, we loved the spa facilities. The sauna was great and the pool superb. A heated pool enables you to... more
We traveled with a tour group from the USA. Food was excellent - so much food at the breakfast buffet that it took quite a few minutes to figure out what was available. The only dinner we had here was very good, but the service was slow. (I get bored with sitting in one place for over 2 hours just... more
We stayed at the Interalpen for 4 nights near the end of a month long trip to Germany, Austria, Budapest, and Prague. The experience we had at this hotel was in a word fantastic. The room was huge with a view from the balcony that you never tired of. We took the half board option, which is quite inexpensive considering... more
This hotel does not live up to the 5 stars. The location of the Hotel is a beautiful hideaway with nice panoramic view. It is 20 car-minutes to Innsbruck, a charming Austrian city. The hotel itself was certainly state-of-the-art in its year of inception in the mid 80'ies. Big and charming entrance hall, wooden restaurants etc. Although clean, the rooms... more
Outstanding. Without doubt the best 5 star hotel I have stayed in. The staff are efficient and professional, but also have that friendly and discreetly helpful manner. The food is as you would expect, delicious, although sometimes unusual. The rooms are large and the aroma of wood complements the breathtaking views. Try the Spa and Sauna area and the underground... more
