We stayed at the Old Ship for 5 days in August and we loved it! Friendly hosts, extensive breakfast, nice spaceous, spotless room, perfect location. Good food at walking distance. Situated in a cute little village but only 15 min. to Canterbury / seaside... We would definitely recommend this B&B. Couple from Belgium with 4-year old More

Booked a one night stay. Great experience with clean and cozy rooms, and a delicious cooked English breakfast with fresh fruits from the garden. Would certainly return! More

We had a lovely night at The Old Ship. We were at a wedding at Knowlton Court nearby and Cheryl helpfully arranged a taxi for us to get there. The room was well presented with a small, but pleasant bathroom. We didn't spend much time there in the evening, but had a lovely morning with a home cooked breakie complete... More

Run by Clive and Cheryl Barker, The Old Ship was my beginning and end of a month long trip in the UK. Not only were Clive and Cheryl wonderful to deal with as Innkeepers, they could not have been more helpful in assisting me with travel arrangements and suggestions. They saved me time and money on my return to London... More

Made to feel very welcome. Cheryl & Clive were very friendly and accommodating of my needs - varied breakfast times etc. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on - including my own! The breakfast provided a wide choice and plenty of it to set me up for the day. Having sampled a number of B&B's in the... More

This lovely home run B&B has three rooms (advertised en-suite but I think only two had bathrooms - and our was actually a separate room). The owners Clive and Cheryl are charming and great hosts. The breakfasts are great - the English breakfasts made with local ingredients. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, all you could want. The building is very old... More
