We were made very welcome, the studio apartment was just so big. swimming was great as was the free canoes and scuba diving gear. This is a great place if you like staying at a place that is low key. Is close to Muri. Recommend having transport, scooter or car. Pool and canoes.Place is great and good value. more

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in the Cook Islands. Avana was a brilliant place to stay. It suited us perfectly. Our 2 teenage boys were kept busy with the kayaks and snorkelling. Very good quality accommodation right on the waters edge and with views to die for. great staff and location and unbelievable prices. 2 or 3 bedooms and studio apartments (ours was a studio) The swimming and fishing/kayakingf/snoekleling is great and I suppose the price reflects the fact that the beach is a bit rocky - but the private guests jetty... more

We ended up having the whole complex to ourselves for one week in January last year (08) - the 2nd week there were more people. We (Mum, Dad and 20 year old daughter) stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It has two levels with the bedrooms upstairs and lounge/kitchen downstairs. There is an upstairs balcony and a deck downstairs, equipped with outdoor furniture. It's right on the beach and the view is just amazing. It is quiet and peaceful and we couldn't have found better... more
