They build private pools for each villa I was lucky to have such one for a standard price. Clean, big and nice rooms... Excellent quality/price ratio !!! gone later to anantara resort which I prefered but which had not a so good quality price ratio.... Beach part of this hotel is the worst... Pool is ok Very friendly check in... more
Stayed at the Lawana in October. Had an excellent holiday. The Lawana is by no means a luxury hotel, but that said it was really good value for money. The bungelow we stayed in was lovely, with some really nice touches - lovely local furniture, incense sticks and matches, fresh flowers left around the room everyday, a complimentary beach bag... more
Really enjoyed the second leg of our holiday here after spending 3 nights in Bangkok. Bangkok Airways/Koh Samui airport, excellent experience. Lawana: Building work was going on at some of the bungalows, as a few are having plunge pools buit in. We spent 5 nights here in July '05 and we had a nice, relaxing time. This is a fairly new resort; if I remember correctly, I think staff said it's only 2 years old. The bungalows are nice and very clean. There was an annoyance with the safe; it kept beeping every few seconds unless we kept it locked. So,... more
