Not a very nice stay, mostly because of the dreadful service provided. We were not treated as guests, and found the atmosphere of the place very unpleasant.

We arrived late without reservation and were offered a room in a separate, very nice two-storey house a few hundred meters away. This house only has two large rooms (the upper with balcony, the lower with direct access to garden and terrace) and is probably meant for long-term guests - but of course also great for only one night! normally... I have stayed in backpackers all around the world. This is honestly the nicest I have seen so far. Only 5 years old, it is fresh and everything is still as new. Super clean, very accommodating and great facilities (even down to the best kitchen appliances I have seen)! A must try!

We paid for 2 nights in advance but only stayed for 1. It is the only place we stayed where the staff were disinterested and the room was dirty. The staff was unwelcoming when we arrived. Hi and warning we were offeredupstairs in a beautiful house ownend by Tsitsikamma Backpackers and as nobody else stayed downstairs at the time we had whole house to ourselves. We stayed in the 'Luxury Tented Units' which consisted of two single beds in a canvas tent pitched on a raised wooden platform. The tent is not massive, a 4 man at best, but the sleep is very comfortable and at the price, pretty good value. The showers and toilets are basic but do the job and relatively clean depending... Loved it here. Very beautiful place, helpful staff, spotless rooms. They have info on trips, but aren't pushy. The hostel is owned by the local community, so the profits stay in the local area, so another good reason to stay there!

I was travelling with 2 guys.. we had a nightmare in the neighbouring hostel that at 12 midnight we landed on the doorsteps of tsitsikamma backpackers.. Shaun was wicked, got us in, setlled..
