Most bank holiday weekends a group of friends go to self catering cottages. As a group of 7 adults and 4 chrildren we decided on the Sperrin view cottages in Northern Ireland. The drive from Dublin to Newry/The border only takes about an hour but due to the poor roads in Northern Ireland the journey from Newry to Pomeroy can take much much longer. On arrival the we were welcomed by Sean who showed us around. We have the 5 bed cottage and a 3bed. The cottgaes are very well designed and brand new this year. Everything you need is available in the cottages and we were given fresh homemade bread jam a a few bags of turf. Heating and electricty are included in the price. The cottages are right in the middle of NI and so a good area if you wish to travel around to the sights. I would have no problem in recommending this accomodation as a 5 star self catering.
