This place is in a prime and scenic location next to the Apollo temple and it shows signs of someone putting in an effort to restore it at some point. Unfortunately it is now totally neglected. Medusa house has a great location and pretty garden but we found it a strange experience staying here . The owner was not particularly interested and wasnt around much . The bathroom was quite grubby and poorly maintained ( ie dripping taps) . We had no hot water on both mornings .

The Medusa Guesthouse is written up in both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide, but was very disappointing. Cold damp room, leaking cistern, no plug, mixer tap came off when moved. Unfriendly host.
