We were four friends on a two-week Canada/Maine vacation. The Hedley House was our 3rd night on the road. What a charming place with wonderful hosts! Joanne serenaded us during breakfast, then sat down with us to inquire of our trip and add suggestions for sightseeing. We all would love to visit again for an extended stay in Digby and... More

We spent 2 nights at the Hedley House and found Joanne and Albert to be helpful and hospitable. They are both musicians, but we only got to hear Joanne sing on her guitar and piano on our last morning with them. This was a most unusual and 'down home' type of inn with comfort and friendliness. The continental breakfast was... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Heldey House by the Sea on 9/7 and 9/8/12. Joanne, the manager was the most welcoming host and made us feel like family. My husband had a problem with his car remote and Joanne insisted on using her phone to make calls to find a place that would be able to help us. The... More

We spent a night here in July on a quick get away and really needed a break. We couldn't have picked a better place to be. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease and relaxed, Joanne greeted us with a warm smile and allowed us to check into our room early. The room was spotless, with a comforable... More

Warm hospitality, quaint atmosphere, everything you need, clean rooms, nice to be able to walk along along the inlet between tides. Stayed for 2 nights. Joanne was very helpful when we were planning our local day trips. Freshly baked hot muffins in the AM were wonderful. We would stay there again.

An amazing place to stay. perfect for kids. Beautiful gardens, play area for children, wonderful hosts who will serenade you with a song. Rooms are clean and private balconies are great for watching the tide come and go. Steps lead down to the beach for walking or shell-hunting. Would definitely stay here again.

If only all accommodations were like this, we wouldn't need to research them. Our room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, with quiet surroundings and a rustic atmosphere. We had a microwave, frig, stove and coffee maker (with coffee and filters provided) as well as a hair blow dryer. After daytripping we would sit on our private deck overlooking the... More

Easy to find, Both of the owners are musicians during the non tourist season. Pleasant room with stove, refrigerator/freezer. Very Clean. Small private porch to sit and be able to see the Bay creep in or out. There are grills available and different sitting areas on the grounds and a stairway to the water- not for swimming. The owners went... More

This motel was great value for the money. Great service, conveniently located minutes from Digby. The view of the bay was fantastic and was easily admired from the private deck attached to each room. The room was big, bed was comfortable, I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. If you're lucky, the owner may sing... More
