Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An unusually uncomfortable mattress ruined my nights sleep as it was worn-out and dipped terribly. My back is still twinging. Too late to ask for it to be sorted out as It didn't become apparent until I had been in bed a while. Who wants to change room at 0100h ? I did raise it at reception in the morning and was advised to share my experience with the company; as it was the hotel was full spa room change would not have been possible.

Hotel's Favourite
Not our first stay at this hotel, nor will it be our last. The hotel is always spotless, the bed is more comfortable than our own, plenty of hot water, quiet environment, as much tea and coffee as you want (you can refill the tray at reception), helpful staff - it is usually only a single night we stay, as we are visiting family who haven't a spare room, but it is a reliably good night's sleep, good breakfast and although we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, we have done so in the past and it is always good as well.

We needed to stay near Gatwick for an early flight and chose the Premier Inn at Redhill as it was close to the airport and the cost of the hotel was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Parking on site was easy and free which was a bonus. Room was clean and adequate for our needs and the Beefeater opposite the hotel was appreciated as we could eat without having to drive somewhere else off site.

Nice clean family room, comfortable beds. Slept well. Only problem was extremely noisy fan in bathroom and bedside lights not working. Reception staff very helpful when asked for extra mugs and tea, sugars etc. If going to eat in the beefeater make sure you book your table before as very busy place.

All staff were friendly and happy to help and easily available when we wanted them. Comfortable beds, great value breakfast. Liked that hot food made to order. Cold food was help yourself. Rooms looking ready for a refurb in places (bathroom sink, convector heaters). Plenty of plug sockets + a few USB sockets.

A 'Dirt Bomb' towel, mould in the bathroom and on the curtains, and windows in the process of being painted, so impossible to open then close. What more could you want from a premier inn? This place was not fit to be a premier inn. They even left the front door wide open at all times!

This was the worst Premier inn we have stayed. First I must say one nice guy on reception. The heating broken, wring thickness of quilt o bed. We discovered on day two the thermostat was not regulated by Premier Inn which we thoughtit was as set at 17. Then quilt extremely thin. Read up on what we were getting absolutely nothing like this photos. It said thin quilt but designed to keep you warm. By the second night (by the way we had reported ALL issues) we were so cold had coat over me and my husband had cramp in legs because. Gave Premier inn three options to give a thicker quilt, do the heater higher or we check out. They came to room said heating broken. Gave another which I thick was the correct thickness not a summer quilt. Plus two heaters... perfect much better, then next day came yo fix heating while we were out. Came back to the room being 27 degrees. Even the receptionist went wow as they trued to help us turn it down had to open windows turn it off. Still 23 degrees in the morning. It felt a bit like take that for complaining about fold. Then we had someone above stomping from 3 am yes complained. No action. The attached harvester is another review separated but again the breakfast manager was the rudest I have ever encountered. To many and I have seen other reviews saying the same amazed still there. He doesn't deserve the job. He actually said to a customer I don't have to give you my name I am not your servan in a service industry. Well Premier inn was a known quantity one we have always used but I am afraid NOT anymore. Take note the photos are NOT the same as you get to our loss on trip to see family for a special occasion.

£105 for 2 people overnight with 2 course dinner and all you can eat breakfast both in the Beefeater immediately next door. Room smelt of smoke on arrival and was so strong it still smelt the following morning. We told the receptionist in the morning but didnt get the impression they were particularly concerned about this issue despite a card in the room saying £100 fine for smoking in the room. Bedside light didnt work. Room was chilly and fan noisy in bathroom. However I would stay there again for one night because with the meal deal it was such good value and the bed was very comfortable and it was a quiet stay.

The tiny pots of milk are not enough even for one cup of tea or coffee. The green flashing light on the smoke detector is so bright as to interfere with your sleep as it the bright red light on the TV screen (we could at least turn that one off). They are a waste of energy and not necessary. The pillows were hard. Feathers does not mean dust and they can be just as clean as artificial ones. Artificial ones do not have to be so hard either. The fan was loud and noisy. The window was open on a freezing night and the room at only 16 degrees. I asked for a quiet room and the assistant put us over the road bridge! It was the worst nights sleep I have had in one of your hotels and I will not be returning.
