It's been a couple of years since my last stay and I was not disappointed. The hotel has maintained it's high standards over the years. The hotel is built in the Swahili style and the layout is rather like old stone towns on the coast, the difference being the the thoughtfully laid out gardens that make walking the paths a...

Stayed at Serena Beach Hotel and Spa in October 2011 on business. Hotel is a breath of fresh air! Lots of open spaces and beautiful gardens. We could not get an ocean facing room cause they were all taken up. However we stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms, much bigger than the ocean facing rooms, excellent air conditioning...

Food is really good. Conference Center is nice. But the rooms are old and tired - especially the bathrooms which are very old and need to be totally redone. AC barely worked and was very loud making it hard to sleep.

We stayed here for ten days in mid November after a four day safari in the Masai Mara and had a fantastic time and loved every minute. The staff are friendly and helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The location is great and there's plenty of space for relaxing either around the pool or in the gardens...

After 3 weeks of very busy work doing an evaluation in Kenya this was just the place to do nothing! Booked through the Nairobi Serena hotel the half board package worked well. Car to and from Mombasa airport and could get a voucher for lunch instead of dinner and then eat a la carte at the excellent seafood restaurant in...

Stayed 5 nights to relax after a Masai Mara safari with Gamewatchers. We enjoyed the hotel. Food is good, service excellent. Bit further north than ideal, so journey from Mombasa airport -which is south of the city - takes about an hour. You need an A/C vehicle. We had a prime room, which is not quite as spacious as the web...
