Lovely gardens, impressive buildings/rooms, great food, excellent service, friendly staff, good location. Would be hard to beat for a mid-range hotel in rural Morocco.

This relatively recent hotel is very charming, the garden is lovely and the bungalows -- with individual patios are very cosy and clean. The design of the bathroom is original and very pleasant with an excellent lighting, ideal for a good make-up. The restaurant is fine and the food excellent. Thoughtful service and excellent prices.

We've been coming to this hotel for five years and it is still our favorite in Taroudant, with excellent service, wonderful garden both colorful and fragrant, fine swimming pool, rooms and restaurant. This time we particularly enjoyed the cheese plate, rare in Morocco, with a fine selection of cheese on offer including Tete de Moine, a cheese from the owner's...

Dar zitoune is situated on the outskirts of touradant. Walking to the town is possible, but not very pleasant due to busyness of the road, however taxis can be caught for less than 1 pound.
The hotel consists of a number of bungalows dotted throughout the beautifully landscaped gardens. The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is...

Dar Zitoune offered everything we wanted for a winter getaway over New Year. Lovely surroundings and pool area, with lemon and orange trees, friendly hospitality, good service, food and accommodation. There is a lovely fragrant aroma when you walk through the gardens, which are full of roses, birds and even a little baby tortoise!
On arrival, we were greeted by...

After a week long motorbike tour of central Morocco, beginning and ending in Marrakech we spent the final night in the beautiful Riad Dar Zitoune. We were made very welcome by the staff, under Mouniame, the general manager. The self contained garden room was very comfortable with nice welcome treats, a very hot shower and a firm bed. Dinner was...

Of the 4 hotels we stayed at during our tour of Morocco this was by far the best.
After a high octane day driving the high pass over the Atlas mountains from Marrakech it was with a sigh of relief that we walked into the exotic grounds of this lovely hotel/riad.
All the bedrooms are set villa-style (for extra privacy)...

Although described as a Riad, this is actually a modern complex some 2 kilometres from the town. Individual bungalows are scattered around a larg attractive walled garden filled with olive a nd citrus trees and flowering shrubs. The bungalows are substantial and well-appointed. The central facilities include a very good restaurant, featuring Moroccan and French food, and a lovely swimming...

Dar Zitoune can be highly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. It is small-scale, with just 22 very comfortable 'bungalows' scattered among the olive, citrus, and palm trees and a profusion of flowers which make up its well-tended garden. The kitchen offers a good range of Moroccan, French, Italian &c dishes, ample fresh fruit and vegetables, and...
