We were booked here by Wilderness Safaris, an excellent company in every way, and having stayed in a number of game lodges over the years, we believe Kings Pool to be the very best. Not only is the setting and the location very beautiful, and the game viewing quite splendid, but the service and friendliness of all the staff is... More

After 3 days at Vumbura Plains in the Delta, we flew over to Kings Pool. A totally different landscape and different feel to the delta but none the less beautiful. The camp is more "african" in style to the other one. Rooms have a great view across the river and with the hippos, we also had the resident male lion... More

This camp is in a very beautiful, remote concession right on the Linyanti river. This is the same river that becomes the Chobe river, as it flows east and then flows into the Zambezi river at Kasane. The difference to the Chobe area is that one feels almost alone in the wilderness. No boats, safari-vehicles etc rushing by all the... More

Kings Pool camp is the "premier" camp in Wilderness' Savuti-Linyanti concession, catering to the traveller who wants that little bit more luxury in the bush. The rooms here are significantly bigger than in Savuti camp and Duma Tau, which is not to say that rooms in the other two camps were small. The rooms have a plunge pool, an outside... More

We did an incredible amount of research into the selection of our honeymoon destination. The only mistake we made was not staying a few more days at Kings Pool. The service, food, setting, guides, animals seen, room comfort & attention to detail is exactly as it should be for this level of travel. The only bit of advice you must... More

Out of 4 safari camps in Tanzania and Botswana, this was our favorite. The game viewing was exceptional. We had an elephant pass through camp, and watched a group of baboon from our balcony. We saw a leopard on an aarvark kill, which is highly unusual. Friendly staff and great food, as is expected at a Wilderness Safaris camp. Lots... More

This was our third camp on our trip to Botswana and it was fantastic. We also stayed at Chitabe Lediba and Tubu Tree. For us, this was the luxury camp, and boy...it was luxury! From the hot water bottle on your seat on the cold mornings, through to the food and the warm service we received, we loved this camp... More

The staff and service is absolutely brilliant! Big Ben and Kay went out of their way to make our stay a phenominal one. The rooms, location and food was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for this team, proven by the private dinner in our room on the last night of our stay. Our guide (Lemme) travelled through thick Mopani... More

Based on the fact that going to Africa was a trip of a lifetime - I did LOTS of research to ensure that we were staying in the best possible camps. As soon as I read about Kings Pool and saw pictures from other travelers that stayed there - I knew we would love it. This is definitely a luxurious... More
