We stayed in 3 places as part of the Safari leg of our Honeymoon (2 Wilderness Safaris in Botswana and 1 private game reserve in South Africa) this was the 3rd and was by far the least friendly and welcoming (the ambience/atmosphere is very much down to management to set the tone I’m afraid, so further work required here me... We would like to thank the guest for the feedback posted. With regards to the departure note/departure – this was obviously a human error that we are very sorry about, the housekeepers placed the incorrect card into the room. This has been addressed with management and the housekeeping manager. Due to the short turn around time at our camps, it... More

This camp was newly built and moved from its old location and opened a few months ago. We stayed there at the end of March and it was quite warm but the tents have several fans and it does cool down at night. The tents are very nice, great shower, double sinks and the staff is wonderful. We spent our... More

A luxury tented safari camp owned by Wilderness Safaris. Ten spacious units recently built on raised wooden floors, with canvas sides and roofs stretched out along the river. Low voltage lighting that is adequate for reading in bed and at desk. Management says the camp is solar powered and cooks with gas created by bio-waste. 30 minute Land Rover drive... More

We stayed three days in this recently renovated camp and had the best stay and game drive. Everything from food to service was perfect. We even had pleasant surprises as riverboat lunch. Many thanks to all.

Duma Tau was our first Botswana experience. From the flight in from Kasane over the most amazing landscape to arriving at this deluxe camp, this was a great experience. Very comfortable, great service, food and wine. Marvellous guides and wildlife viewing.Great birding in March. Lucky to stay at the camp when the place was not full. Seems a strange comment... More

My husband and I stayed three nights at the Duma Tau camp. It is a new concession that overlooks the Linyanti River. It is spacious with all the comforts of home; king size bed, bathroom with double sinks and a wonderful hot shower. I enjoyed sitting on our private deck and listen to the hippos “talking” to one another. The... More

There are very few words that can describe the experience at Duma Tar except to say that from Mock the guide through to the cooks making the brunch and dinner - its five star all the way. Walking down to the river on the first night with the fire going and the hippos making a noise and the amazing interaction... More

This is a brand new camp with a very modern look - it will probably attract a wide variety of opinions! Set in the Linyanti swamp area, the wildlife is amazing and the guides - ours was Mocks - are first class. They do however tend to seek the little bit extra 'thrill' and that might not be to all... We stayed at the new Duma Tau in October, 2012. It was the third of 3 camps in our first trip to Botswana. We were totally enthralled by the wildlife, seeing all of the usual favorites plus a pangolin, a honey badger, sable antelopes, daytime sightings of hyenas, a lion hunt, lions feeding on a cape buffalo kill, elephants swimming... This is a lovely appointed camp with fantastic customer service and superb game drives. The tents are on the water with lovely decks and well-appointed rooms. The meals were excellent! The only problem is the heat. We were there in the middle of October for 3 nights of our 9-day safari in Botswana and Zambia. This is the dry season... More

We are very excited to hear that you had such an awesome time at DumaTau and enjoyed in particular the service and game drives. DumaTau is one of our most popular camps located between two elephant corridors and is offering a fantastic river and land experience. Many thanks for your feedback on the ceiling fans in the rooms.
