We recently stayed at the Pian D'Ercole Resort. The location is great for trips into Florence and to explore the Tuscan area. We had a luxury room which meant we had a small garden, which was a nice place to sit in the early evening whilst enjoying a glass of wine. I don't know about the nice reviews, but we certainly did not have the same experience. This is at best a three star hotel. 1) The owners seemed very nice, but did not speak much english. Lovely renovated 17th century stone building in the Chianti Rufina region. By far, the nicest accomodation we found in Italy.
