I was generally dissapointed by my recent stop at yeats country inn , shame because externally its a lovely building and a handy stop enroute to Sligo . The bar/resturant is a little drab and the ' big tom ' type music that happened to be playing could annoy some people . I ordered turkey and ham . It arrived... More

Stayed with friends several times in this hotel. Don and his staff do their best to make our stay as fine as possible. We will come back as soon as possible, specially now with Knock airport. My family and I were on holiday in the summer and whilst travelling from Donegal to Galway we came across this little gem of a place, Yeats County Inn. We decided to stop for lunch for three hungry children & two adults. We had five fantastic meals! My husband and I ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection. My children... More

What a Welcome. I am disappointed to be leaving this wonderful hotel. Nothing was too much hassle for any member of staff. The Food was excellent and very decently priced. It has certainly been the highlight of my trip to Ireland.

Stopped with young family for lunch travelling from Galway to Sligo. Waited at least 30 minutes before orders taken (Restaurant was not busy). Drinks did not arrive until 30 minutes after ordering. When food arrived it was cold. Kids had chicken nuggets and chips- beans had been ordered but were not on plate. Daughter ordered Sausages with mash and gravy.... More

The hotel is very clean. We stayed for 3 nights and did not have any problems. The staff are lovely, especially Trisha who could not do enough for us. The bar food is reasonably priced and the full Irish breakfast was so nice I had one every morning.

We attended a wedding during the Christmas period in Markree Castle. We stayed in this hotel the night before the wedding and we enjoyed food and drink in the bar area upon arrival. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The owner introduced himself to our group and looked after us very well during our stay. The rooms were clean, warm... More
