The farmhouse is immersed in an olive grove. A two-storey structure, the house was probably a stage post on the ancient road that linked Lucca and Pistoia, and Leonardo da Vinci might even have stayed here. The Pitti farmhouse enjoys a great location near the major artistic and cultural turist centres of northern Tuscany, including Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato, the neighbouring Montecatini Terme and Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo. Guests may choose from five apartments, each one with a comfortable lounge area with a couch and a fully-equipped kitchen corner; the bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms. The apartments have been organised in a way that not only respects the ancient structure of the house, but also reveals a little bit of its history. The charm of the past that fills each of the bedrooms seems to challenge time itself, contributing to an enchanting holiday.Stone walls, terracotta and wood floors, exposed wooden-beamed ceilings with the original hand made bricks, traditional furniture and beds made from wrought iron will take you back to earlier times, without sacrificing any of todays’s modern comforts. Each apartment, in fact, is equipped with an independent air-conditioning unit for the hottest days of the year.Outside, guests can cool down in the swimming pool after dozing for a couple of hours on one of the sunbeds provided.

Wonderful Agriturismo. A hidden gem in an old completely restored borgo in the heart of nature. They did a fab job with the interiour. The appartments are very basic but you will find everything you need. Away from the masses, situated in a quiet area close to major cities like e.g.Pisa, Florence, Siena and Lucca. And villages like Vinci, Volterra and San Gimignano can also be easily reached by car. There is a wonderful pool at the disposal of the guests. When you have visited a city in this warm weather(35°C +) it's great to cool down in the pool. The owners also provide a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread and homemade jam , cheese and other wonderful things. They also make their own olive oil and 2 kinds of liquor like limoncello and one with berries and they make their own cantuccini cookies! The entire family helps in and around the Agriturismo. One remark: the first time driving up the mountain to the Agriturismo I Pitti can be a bit challenging because of the unpaved road leading up there, but you get used to it .We had a wonderful stay and i would definitely recommend this Agriturismo.

We spend a week in the agriturismo with 2 kids. Kids had great fun. Lucky or not there were a lot of other families and the pool was the gathering place. The room was very spacious including kitchen. The surroundings are beautifull. Breakfast was very good. Home made bread and pastries really delicious. We were welcomed very well. One evening there was a dinner organised with all families on one long table outside. Is was really nice atmosphere, almost like in the movies, and food excellent. Is a pity it was not every day like that as they only cook when sufficient guests ask for it. However we found some good restaurants in the surroundings as well. All in all we had a really good time and can recommend the place a lot.

Thank you, Stella and Giuliano, for being so nice and caring. We had a very good time at this romantic, quiet place. The appartements are special, perfect made and very clean. We were lucky to have the pool during these hot days. The kids had fun. It was good and interesting to meet some other, international people... especially to have the very delicious, homemade tuscany dinner with them, wich was made and served with love from our hosts. The atmosphere and view is probably unique.... Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse last month. The property was beautiful, we especially enjoyed the outdoor seating areas and pool. The room was cozy and rustic and had everything neccessary. The kitchen and bath were small, but equipped with all the basics. The view from the apartment was lovely! The hosts were were also available if we needed anything from questions to bug spray! The dinner they had one evening was also exceptional. In addition the location was great for traveling all over the region. We drove to many small towns (Vinci, Montactini, etc.) and took the train to Florence easily. We would definitely stay again when we visit the region!

We spend one week at this place. We were aiming for Toscany because of the good food and wine. What we have experienced here exceeded all our expectations. First of all the friendly hosts. They cater for all needs that you didn't even express. For instance: One day we deciced to go to the beach for swimming. We have been advised, that Dondaduna at Vecchiano is a perfect beach. In addition to that, we have been offered an umbrella which is almost mandatory if you stay there. So we where happy and grateful to have it with us. Besides that, the appartments are outstanding. They have rebuilt beautiful appartments in that former agricultural building so that you feel, you are in the 19th century having the comfort of the 21st century. Famous cities like Siena (our favorite), Florence and Pisa, which we visted in late afternoon until late evening, can easily reached by train from the stations in the vicinity (entering Siena or Florence by car is for foreigners forbidden). The fantastic food and the wine, that you can enjoy in this region is outstanding, too. And finally we have met very nice persons here. We can recommend this place 100%. We will come back for sure. We had the appartement Fienile and liked it a lot. The appartements with view on the historical village are great. You can use the barbecue, the kitchenette (no oven) is equipped with the most you need (would be nice to have a cullender to wash salads f.ex.). Very nice to have a lot of towels and basic equipment with spicery, dish liquid : the small things which make it easy to arrive. Bed is comfortable, sofa quite. Table inside and outside. You cannot really darken the roams, as there are no curtains for all the windows. In the bathroom from the outside you could be seen with lights on. Very friendly owners. As there were not enough guests we couldn't do the diner with them. But seems to be nice. Once we had the breakfast: good bread and coffee, juice etc. Very difficult to get there, not with a heavy car.

My family and I stayed here for just over a week in June/July. It is certainly a rustic, peaceful place with masses of lavender and plenty of fruit trees. The pool was also good and warm - considering that temperature was around 35°C during our stay. Breakfast was on the terrace covered with Wisteria, with fruit, yoghurt, home made bread, jam and honey Delicious! The accommodation was well equipped with one bedroom and a further bed in the lounge/dining/kitchen area, a small cooker, sink and fridge. The rooms were spacious but my criticism is that there were insufficient places to hang clothes and the 'curtains' for covering the windows at night were not large enough to prevent bright sunlight from streaming in to awaken one! They should install a few wall mounted hooks in the bathroom and main bedroom. The entry into the main bedroom is through a rather low doorway and I have several lumps on my head through not having bent enough to get through!!! Both the doors to the bathroom need to be adjusted to ensure they close properly. The air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of information in the room concerning places to visit with maps and pictures! The wi-fi was not available in the room and was only available from the terrace area where we had breakfast. It was also somewhat erratic. The way to the property is rather difficult to find as our GPS did not recognise the end destination as it was somewhat remote, up a narrow (bad!) gravel road. This means having to look for a side spot to enable two cars to pass each other - sometimes tricky! I suggested that they include longitude and latitude details on the website to enable one to find the place more easily. We noted these details after we arrived there and it was thus easier to find. The owners (Mr. & Mrs. Fabiano) were a really nice couple who looked after us extremely well. It is most certainly a peaceful place to enable one to have a good rest and it is well located for visiting Pisa, Vinci, Florence (where we took the train), Sienna, Pistoia and Prato - plus several other places in the region. There is quite a large market on Saturdays in Pistoia which makes an interesting visit. Fully recommend the place for relaxing, comfortable stay!

AiP is a great place to hide and experience the nature in an authentic building. It is not without challenges to get up to the house, but once you arrive it is an island of relaxation, where you can enjoy living in a watchtower from the 13th century, which was extended every century by another part. The location is ideal to explore Tuscany. The apartments are clean and have kitchens equipped with all important appliances. The hosts are friendly and give good and honest guidance what to places worth visiting.

A perfect place for everyone who wants to slow down and rest close to the nature. Far enough from civilization but close enough to reach very quickly to such places like: Florence, Siena , San Giminiano ( highly recommended), Cinque Terre ( beautiful ), Chianti region (must have). Lovely, old house “lost” on a beautiful , green hills with a glamorous view on a nearby village. Stella & Giuliano are lovely coupe, open – hearted and very helpful. Tasting Stella’s excellent homemade bread is obligatory during the stay. The house is beautiful, arranged and decorated in consistent and lovely style (not for five stars hotel visitors but for people who love to explore interesting but not posh places ) located in a beautiful surroundings. Nothing more is needed for a successful holiday.
