We travelled to Tobago at the end of a 2 week holiday in Barbados and Trinidad. I have to say I was disappointed when we were shown to our room as although it was clean it looked a bit shabby with peeling paint, slightly grubby curtains etc. The bathroom facilities were also not great - a leaking shower with barely... more

This was an awesome experience. The service was outstanding and the staff was very nice and willing to help us ejoy our stay. Keisha - Keep on smiling it will take you places :) Much respect to the Masseuse Kello. Shutters breaded Lamb is the best in the island. The rooms were really nice with a panoramic view. This is... more

Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It could have been better for a 4 star hotel, but our rooms were spacious and clean and the bathroom was big! We had balcony, beautiful patio doors that opened the room out to the sea view and breeze. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but we ate next door at Havana... more

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in and I know what a four star hotel looks like. When we drove up to the hotel, I knew I had made a mistake booking it, but decided not to judge so quickly. When I entered the room I knew for sure it was a mistake. Pictures were over exaggerated on... more

The Blue Haven of Bacolet Bay is perhaps the last of its kind - a delightful Caribbean retreat the likes of which can rarely if ever be found these days. The 50's ambiance and courteous, laid back staff lend the unbeatable surroundings an atmosphere redolent of days gone by. Mr Karl, the wonderfully eccentric owner, is a charming gentleman whose... more

We went to Tobago to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Just 3 hours after arriving to the hotel, while taking a nap in the swimming pool area we were robbed by a 14 year old local boy, who was swimming in the pool. He pulled out my wifes bag (with my wallet and her purse) beside her chest. She woke up... more

One of the Blue Haven’s great features is that it is right on the water and has one of the best beaches on the island. This was a hotel favoured by Hollywood stars like Rita Hayworth and Robert Mitchum and it still has that hint of timeless style and sophistication. We loved our J suite with its mahogany floorboards, comfortable... more

The Blue Haven is set in one of the most exotic, magical locations in the world and that's coming from a well-travelled writer. It's as though you're out to sea as you look over the balcony of the chic, tasteful hotel, and out onto the ocean, with fregate birds wheeling past, pelicans nesting on the rocks, and the crashing sound... more

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Haven Hotel in Tobago from 05 March till 19 March 2009 on an All Inclusive basis. We very much enjoyed our holiday and would certainly return to this relaxing and quirky hotel. When we first arrived, we had a walk round and thought we had made the wrong decision, the pool is... more

We booked an all inclusive package to stay a week at Blue Haven on the back of a very favourable newspaper report back in January 2007. After we had booked we read various more up to date reports from Trip Advisor and were concerned by some of these especially those with photos attached. We found the following:-- there were always... more
