I think this is a great place. I’ve been there twice (July 2007 and 2008) and I always found it amazing. The view is fantastic and having breakfast over the Dolomiti view make the breath hold. The views are staggering. I would have to agree with some of the above reviews that the food isn't great....but there was always good bread, salad and dried beef etc.....Breakfast on the lawn overlooking the Dolomites cannot be beaten! The hiking is phenomenal too....although you must be meticulous in watching the trail markings....highly recomend GPS....hikes can be long and confusing...but... More

The hotel is in a lovely position with great views, but you do pay a lot for a nicer room with a view. Some of the rooms are quite modern without charm, if you want a charming room with tyrolean style furniture you must ask for this and they are expensive. The Zirmerhof is an outstanding, family run hotel/farm. Its 19th century charm is fully preserved. No compromises whatsoever. There is no TV and telephone in the rooms but nice ensuite bathrooms.
