Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great little place, clean and right on the beach. The staff are all lovely too. It’s a bit of a walk to the restaurants and town centre in Lamai but we hired a scooter (which you can do at the hotel which is brilliant) to explore the island so it wasn’t an issue. Book in for a massage here - they have two beds overlooking the beach so you listen to the waves as you get massages. Truly relaxing and worth it. The restaurant sits right on the beach and it’s perfect to just look out at the ocean. The shower wasn’t very hot and the pressure is a little lacking but no big deal really.

I liked, that the sea was there, But because of the weather (big waves) we couldn't go in. The beaches around unfortunately are not so clean, there are a lots of rubbish-plastics etc. The room was big enough and nice. The bed was huge. The staff was OK. They offered us a beachfront room, but we didn't want it (next to the bar).Breakfast is OK. (Coffee not so good:( Garden and birds were amazing! It isn't cleaned enough. The bathroom need to be cleaned neatly. Our big windows can't be opened-there are other bungalows, where you can open the terrace door. You have air condition, but it is above the bed, so we didn't use it. We asked for a ventilator, but they couldn't give us. Our neighbor was a bit loud. It was a french group, and they came home always late, and we were woken up. :(

Excellent value for money. Stayed for one night in standard room, it was perfect with lots of space and lovely decor. Immaculately clean, very quiet air con which didn’t blow directly on the bed (I usually can’t sleep with air con running), even snacks provided in the room. The bathroom was very stylish and clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was huge and the most comfortable mattress I have slept on in Thailand! The only disappointment was the restaurant, very bland in appearance with very average food.

We booked two nights as a bridge to our resort booked in Maenam. The place was amazing! We were very pleasantly surprised as capacity seemed low so low and the beach and restaurant seemed fairly sparse. Beach was amazing if you like strong surf which our two boys aged 13 and 10 enjoyed! Loungers were plentiful. Food and service was fantastic. The room was great as well and the location in Lamai seemed great; lots of good restaurants around. We could walk (2 min) to the grandmother and grandfather rock formations which was great. Excellent, well priced boutique hotel.

Stayed for 8 nights in 2 rooms as a family, pretty good value for money, the good points: * Upgraded to bungalow double from standard double * Room clean * Friendly staff * Gardens and grounds beautiful, tropical garden * Good fast wifi * Breakfasts great * Clean pool (little small) * Free snacks/tea/coffee etc replaced daily * Room cleaned daily Negatives (mostly minor which could be fixed very easily) * Air con very efficient (need it on) but freezing in bed as only a sheet & thin cover * Bathroom has no privacy, apartments next door look directly at you in shower, no shutter/blind (we were forced to use a beach sarong to try and cover it) * Food in restaurant terrible, only used for breakfast after trying a meal * 4 coat hangers between 2 people? * Kettles need replacing - dangerous, drip boiling water when pouring and boiling steam goes over your hand * Bigger cups please - cuppa had to be done in 2 parts as our cups only held 4 mouthfuls * Plug fittings very loose * Patio furniture very old and rickety (though other units had nice deck furniture, think it was just ours) * Safe didn't work in one room * Beach very narrow and steep at this end (possibly just the time of year) but no flat sand to sit on * Only a few nice sunbed around the pool (black ones) and they were being kept by people putting towels on them in the morning, so constantly unavailable, perhaps manager could monitor this a little more, or put a sign up * Beds extremely hard We feel we got what we paid for and enjoyed Koh Samui
