First the hotel lost they resarvation, than the woman showed them the wrong way to their room and they had to search around. then the card keys were not working and then they got a very small ugly room with wiew on the personal toilet... The best with this hotel is it's location just by Siljan lake. The food is also a big thing with this hotel, always good and often with local specialties. The rooms are basic but failrly large. The service is very good. It's at bit pricy but well worth the money.

We got a last minute reservation (hence, lower price) over christmas and we're very happy with our stay. Great food, nice service, nice atmosphere. The size of the hotel might give you another impression at first, but it's a very cosy place. The only downside, I think, is that the rooms are a lot more basic than the hotel itself.... More

Stayed in the Dalecarlia for 2 nights in July 2007. The hotel is in a simply stunning location up on a gentle slope overlooking Lake Siljan. The views from the hotel across the lake are amazing, and if you are there in the summer the sun almost doesn't set at night. The hotel is very well presented, clean and tidy.... More

excellent rooms and service, nice views of the lake, gorgeous dinners. Great location in Tallberg, so you can drive around lake siljan.
