We chose the Poseidonio as it was described as having a snack bar, pool bar and roof garden. None of these were operational when we were there and the roof garden resembled a building site. We understand from the management that this was due to a dispute between the two owners and the hotel being divided between them, giving each owner one of the two buildings. The communal areas were not serviced and there appeared to be a manager for each building and two areas laid out for breakfast - dependent on which building you were in. We complained about the lack of facilities for drinks etc. and were told we could ask the nightwatchman for anything we needed - pointing to the unstocked and unstaffed bar, and a fridge with a couple of bottles of water in! As the hotel was 3 km from Nidri, and few facilities locally and none at the hotel, we found ourselves trekking daily into Nidri.
